Where will your dreams take you? Beyond the mists of Avalon... through the haze of a dream... Through a nebula emblazoned with a thousand stars? If you want to find out you have come to the right place. Hidden within the mists of a magickal land there is a humble inn sitting at the center of a sunlit clearing. A sign hangs above the double doors, the image of an oak tree engraved on solid wood, adorned with glittering silver. The sign reads "The Silver Oak". A quaint inn, well lit with kind barmaids who do their jobs with heart and a burly man behind the bar with a gentle smile and a knowledge of all forms of drink. The walls are a light wood and the floor is well polished. Once inside the doors you can see the bar to the right and on the opposite wall is an enourmous fire place with a warm fire. Tables are scattered around the room and booths line the back wall. On the wall left of the door the fire place conceals a stairwell that leads to the second floor where there are several rooms for rent at a fair price. The third floor is off limits to customers, for it is the residence of the fair haired elven lady who owns this secluded place. Stories of the misted woods fill the ears of all the patrons, of the elves who make their home in a secret place, the enchanted glade, home to a unicorn, inacessible thanks to the haunted woods that no man can seem to find his way past. There are stories of dragons and goblins and of an enchanted isle off the western shore just beyond the mountains. The goddess known as Essence is the greatest power in this land, creator of the magickal mists that keep intruders away from her sacred elven tribe. A people secluded for thousands of years from all other races. They have developed their own language, their own traditions, and their own way of life. The location of this tribe is known to only rare people, all of them elves, and none give away their secrets. The lady of the inn is one of these special elves but that is her secret to keep. This Valley, home to a rich variety of life, has come to be known as Ilath'tiadar... the Land of Magick Mist. Ilath'tiadar is the main storyline in Beyond the Mists, open for all beings of fantasy to join at the Silver Oak for good company and good drink. Most genre have a home here in one storyline or another. All you have to do is check out the SL page and see just where you can put your character. Most of the storylines are open for freeform play and IF a request is required you will know simply from the description given. So feel free to join us for good company and great roleplay.
